Cycling + Marketing = Happy Us
At 42group we love cycling and we love marketing, content and digital. Add them together and you have one of our favourite ever projects – the Bristol Grand Prix.
Last week, we started planning for the 2017 race… This year is going to be an awful lot of fun.
In 2016 we began our work with the Bristol Grand Prix, providing content, PR, social and marketing support for this amazing event. We doubled the number of social followers, secured some national coverage for the race and helped develop an incredibly strong brand that stands out in this crowded and competitive marketplace.
We achieved all of this while having an absolutely amazing time. Our efforts didn’t go unnoticed. When the Tour of Britain came to Bristol it was 42group that they chose to work with.
So, when our friends at Le Sportif asked whether we would be interested in working together on the 2017 event, we responded with high-fives in the office, some dancing and a little bit of a whooping and hollering (this is an exaggeration, but only slightly).
This year’s race will be bigger, better and much more exciting than ever before. Over the past few weeks we have been sketching out plans for promotion and marketing of the race, a content direction and a social approach that will help the UK’s fastest growing city-centre cycle race to keep growing.
The team at Le Sportif have some incredible ideas for making the race even bigger, and we’re so proud that they have chosen to work with us.
We can confidently say after our work with the Bristol GP and the Tour of Britain that Bristol’s only marketing agency that knows and loves cycling.
We don’t just create campaigns and content for cycle races and events, we also work with cycling brands keen to make an impact in a market that seems to show no signs of slowing down.
We develop marketing, content and social campaigns that work because we’ve been cycling since before we even knew we wanted to work in marketing. Also – if we’re being honest – most of the time we would rather be out on our bikes than in the office, so working on cycling marketing campaigns is the next best thing.
We can’t say too much about what we’re planning just yet – and who we’re planning it with – but 2017 will be an amazing year for cycling in Bristol, and we’re proud to be playing a part in it. Chapeau to everyone involved, and we hope to see you at the start line.
